“I enjoy Rochester because of the art scene. I think it is flourishing and inspiring. There are galleries, outdoor art shows, outdoor murals, and “Art” buildings housing artists of all kind. From personal experience you can be a professional artist with a base in Rochester. Of course I am not the only one, and even very well known artist Albert Paley works out of Rochester.
“The size of Rochester makes it easy to interact with others of like mind and nothing is too far away. Manhattan has Chelsea, the Meatpacking District, West Village, SoHo, etc. Rochester has Corn Hill, Swillburg, the South Wedge, 19th Ward, Neighborhood of the Arts, Monroe/Park Ave./East Ave., and the list goes on. Rochester is not without flavor and culture.”
“Rochester is also a great place to raise a family. It is affordable, you can’t beat Wegmans, and the people are interesting. There is also ample access and opportunity to start your own business in Rochester.
“Overall Rochester is a down-to-earth city, with plenty to do in the way of parks, nightlife, and business opportunity.”
