#54: The Change in Seasons and the Flowering Trees

“The change in seasons has to be one of my favorite things about this place. Rochester switches from winter to spring so quickly, and as if to reward us for making it through another cold, blustery winter, gifts us with the most wonderful flowering trees and bushes. Flowering trees heal wintertime woes, even if you suffer allergies, I’m convinced. I have no doubt that there’s something magical in the Magnolia pollen, because right now snow and everything troubling that comes with snow accumulation and ice is far from my mind.”

“We celebrate the lilacs in Highland and visit the rose gardens in Maplewood, but the flowering tree gardens and assorted arboretums woven through Durand Eastman Park are my favorite places to explore through the spring and summer months. Have you been?”
