#56: Not Too Big, Not Too Small

Seneca Park Zoo

Seneca Park Zoo

“I like living in Rochester because it’s a perfectly sized city: small enough to feel comfortable and have easy access to downtown, but big enough to offer a variety of colleges, restaurants, music venues, and coffee shops. Rochester has a well educated and good hearted community. It also has great ‘nearby nature’ opportunities, such as its extensive lakeshore, county parks, the Seneca Park Zoo, and easy access to the Finger Lakes. As a birdwatcher, I’m honored to live near one of the country’s best hawk watching sites at Braddock Bay. The spring migration of birds here is just wonderful.”
