#86: There’s Always Something Going On

“My favorite thing about living in Rochester is that there is always something going on, especially in the summer. There’s the Lilac Fest, Park Ave. Fest, East End Fest, the Public Market, and Party in the Park starts again soon. You never have to worry about sitting home because there is always something happening in the city. My friends and I play in the Roc City Kickball league every summer and it’s a great way to meet other people in the area and have fun.

“The city is very diverse. We have some amazing artists and galleries, and there is always live music places. We have five different professional sports teams that play in our city throughout the year. You can also find any type of food you want. My favorite new trend is definitely the food truck rodeos. The food that the trucks offer is so creative, there is always something new to try.

“Rochester is a great place to grow and experience new things each weekend that you may not have been exposed to before. It has everything any major city has, but in a fifteen minute radius. I am very happy to call Rochester my home, and I know the Rhinos are too.

“My favorite place to spend time is definitely Rochester Rhinos Stadium. There are so many new changes to it this year that it’s a great place to come even if you don’t like soccer. We have an all-new food stand that we partnered with ButaPub for. The food is unlike anything that you will find at any other stadium. The menu even changes and is inspired by our opponent each game. We are also launching a new Beer Garden next week, and a Fireside Bourbon Bar in the upcoming months. We now have live music each game too — oh, and there is a soccer game that goes on as well, but between listening to the DJ, eating the amazing food, and hanging out at the beer garden, that’s just an added bonus! The 15th we are even playing an MLS team. A team from the MLS hasn’t been to our stadium in two years — there is just so much excitement going on!”
